レイルウェイステークス (オーストラリア)
レイルウェイステークス（Railway Stakes）とはオーストラリアのウエストオーストラリアン・ターフクラブ（WATC）が主催する競馬の平地競走である。1894年創設。競走格付けはG1。西オーストラリア州パースのアスコット競馬場で施行される。出走条件は3歳以上馬のハンデキャップ競走。賞金総額は100万オーストラリア・ドル。オーストラリア西地区におけるシーズン最初のG1競走である。
歴史
- 1894年 芝12ハロン（約2400メートル）のハンデキャップレースとして創設。
- 1926年 距離を1マイルに短縮。
- 1974年 距離を1500mに短縮。
- 1984年 現行の芝1600mに距離を延長。
